2 IndiGo flights to Jeddah and Muscat from Mumbai get bomb threats

Two IndiGo flights departing from Mumbai received bomb threats on Monday, prompting swift responses from authorities. According to an IndiGo spokesperson, flight 6E 1275, en route to Muscat, and flight 6E 56, headed for Jeddah, both received bomb threats.
Following established safety protocols, both aircraft were immediately moved to isolated bays. “As per protocol, the aircraft were taken to isolated bays, and following the standard operating procedure, mandatory security checks were promptly initiated,” said the IndiGo spokesperson.
Earlier this morning, an Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Delhi Airport following a bomb threat.
The flight took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at around 2 am on Monday, and a bomb threat was received through a tweet immediately after. It was diverted to Delhi on instructions of the government’s security regulatory committee.
Ten days ago on October 5, Vadodara and Rajkot airports in Gujarat received bomb threats. The threat was sent via email to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), leading to a detailed security sweep with bomb and dog squads at the airport terminals.
